In 2015, I entered a hospital looking for answers about my health. When my heart stopped, the experience that followed changed my understanding of who I was—and what it meant to come back. This memoir follows the experience and the human work of living with what it revealed.

It is a story of identity, love, and returning to a familiar life with an unfamiliar understanding of everything. The return was not the end of the story. It was the beginning of learning how to live it.
